Runzhou (Renzo) Zhang

As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Zhang is in charge of management of the company and business development. He used to be director and chief designer of many famous projects in the US such as the new campus of San Jose State University. Mr. Zhang is a graduate in architecture from Tsinghua University in Beijing, and a master in design from Harvard, where he was awarded with Degree with Distinction. Mr. Zhang is also a US registered planner. He used to be teaching in Tsinghua for five years after graduating, which is an important experience in his career.

Craig Studer is a planner and landscape architect.  He is a founding partner of HZS, a multi-disciplinary design firm based in Atlanta, Georgia.  In addition to his responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer he facilitates the firm’s planning efforts in concert with other design disciplines. 
Born in the United States, Mr. Studer studied at Kansas State University where he participated in one of the country’s first inter-disciplinary design curriculums focused on a collaborative approach to planning and design involving business, finance, design and engineering.  He received his Bachelor degree in Planning and Landscape Architecture in 1986. After graduation, Mr. Studer began his career in Tampa, Florida on the planning and design of the Orange County Convention Center phase II and the Tampa Convention Center.
During his 26 year career, he has lived and worked on five continents enabling him to bring his clients and their projects a wealth of experience from a truly global perspective.  Combining the disciplines of planning, urban design and landscape architecture his career has thus far focused on  new towns, scenic areas and parks, themed communities and resorts, hotels and various themed attractions.   In collaboration with several illustrious design firms and since founding HZS, he’s made significant planning and design contributions to many notable projects including Royal Sentul Highlands, EuroDisney, Treyburn, Pont Royal, The Peninsula, El Conquistador, Qi li Ping, the Boca West Club as well as the first LEED certified residential community in the United States.  Mr. Studer’s built work has received numerous awards from the ULI, AIA, ASLA and other professional and real estate organizations.
